My last experience was pretty good, but it took two tries to get everything fixed. After I drove my car five miles away from the shop, my check engine light came on again. I was pretty crushed ... mostly because I had no other form of transportation available. Luckily, the car continued to run and I came in the next day. Turns out there was another bad part, to the tune of $140, that had to be replaced. I wasn't expecting the extra expense, but I was pleased that it was fixed immediately, while I waited in the lobby area. Since everything is done off of codes these days, I can't fault the shop for not finding it the first time ... if it doesn't come up, it doesn't come up. The staff was fun to chat with during my wait, making the experience much more enjoyable than I thought it would be. It's very nice to be able to do business with an independent shop rather than a big dealership. I don't feel like just a number here.
